State Bank of India (SBI) has officially released its much-awaited notification for the recruitment of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales), popularly known as SBI Clerk 2025

Eligibility Criteria – SBI Clerk 2025
Age Limit (as on 01.04.2025)
Minimum: 20 years
Maximum: 28 years (Born not earlier than 02.04.1997 & not later than 01.04.2005)
Upper Age Relaxation:
OBC: 3 years
SC/ST: 5 years
PwBD (Gen/EWS): 10 years, (OBC): 13 years, (SC/ST): 15 years
Ex-Servicemen, Widows/Divorced/Judicially separated women, SBI Apprentices: As per Government rules (see PDF for full details)
Educational Qualification (as on 31.12.2025)
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent
Final year/semester students may apply provisionally but must produce proof of graduation on or before 31.12.2025
Dual degree/Integrated degree holders must have cleared on or before 31.12.2025
Local Language Proficiency
Must be proficient (read, write, speak, understand) in the selected State/UT’s local language.
Those not producing proof of 10th/12th standard studied in the local language will have to clear a local language test before joining.

Common Details:
Exam Medium: English and Hindi (except English language section in Main exam is only English)
Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer in both exams
Qualifying Criteria:
No sectional cutoff, but minimum aggregate cutoff in Main exam (with 5% relaxation for reserved categories)
Preliminary exam marks are not added for final merit
Selection:
Merit list based on Main exam scores
Candidates must pass specified local language proficiency test (if applicable) before appointment

3. Local Language Test
For those who do not have 10/12th standard mark sheet of local language.
Candidates not qualifying will not be appointed.
4. Document Verification & Final Selection
Based on main exam marks + fulfilling eligibility + local language proficiency.
Salary, Pay & Allowances – SBI Clerk
Pay Scale: ₹24,050–1,34,480 (various increments/matrix)
Starting Basic Pay: ₹26,730 (inclusive of two advance increments for graduates)
Approx. initial gross monthly emoluments: ₹46,000 (at a metro like Mumbai; may vary by posting location)
Benefits: DA, HRA/leased housing, PF, pension under NPS, medical, LFC, leaves, and other perquisites as per SBI rules
